From the moment that I discovered Monica’s chairs on her website I knew that I needed a Monica chair in my life. We had two sets of older chairs that needed refurbishing and I knew that Monica was the perfect person to breathe new life into our chairs. Monica was so much fun to work with and had so many great ideas. Her knowledge of fabrics and artistic eye is impeccable. She transforms a simple chair into artwork. We are now living with and enjoying beautiful pieces of art that we can actually use.
Monica's eye for design is unparalleled! She has rejuvenated a number of my grandmother's pieces of furniture from the 1950's and 1960's as well as barstools that belonged in my great grandfather dating back to the 1920's. Monica always takes the time to listen to my ideas and transforms my pieces into works of art that consistently exceed my dreams! No detail is left unfinished. I would recommend Monica without hesitation for any project.
I am in love with my chaise from Monica Cortright! It is so versatile. I can flip the pillows and create multiple looks depending on the mood I am in. The detailing is superb. Everyone asks me where I got it. I want more and more!

There is no other way to describe Monica’s work than sparkly alchemy. She mixes together texture, vision, color and the dramatic arts to create her amazing chairs. Monica has single-handedly transformed our living room. The first addition to our collection was “Sunshine Daydream” with so much personality, so much presence it became the favorite place of retreat in our house. When I needed a re-visioning of a childhood chaise-lounge, Monica breathed new life into a sixties classic that erupted in funky patterns and color. The final compliment to our room was a re-imagined loveseat in plush turquoise, complementary piping and pillows. Our room is simply luscious because of Monica’s magical touch.
My husband and I collect art. Never have we purchased more than one or two pieces from any one artist. Until now. Monica Cortright’s gorgeous creations now grace 4 different spaces in our home! Each chair is warm and inviting, a colorful and balanced focal point for each room. She even allowed us to collaborate on “Roger” an old family wingback that had been hiding in the basement. We love these chairs and can proudly pass them on to the generations that follow. My husband says he’s not finished “collecting” yet.
